SPANISH JOB SHADOWING PROGRAMME. GENERAL INFORMATION

The Spanish Ministry of Education launches an annual open call for 120 Spanish teachers wishing to complete a period of job shadowing in European schools, namely Germany, Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Ireland, Italy, Norway, Netherlands, Malt, Portugal, United Kingdom, Sweden, and Switzerland. The purpose of this programme is to strengthen the set of actions put in place to improve the quality of teacher training, promote innovation, adopt more efficient teaching methods and create future networks of European teachers, as well as encourage future cultural exchange.

Job shadowing involves a school of one of the participating countries hosting a Spanish teacher for a period of two weeks, during which a jointly agreed programme of activities is completed. The visit does not involve direct teaching.

Teachers selected to participate in the job shadowing initiative will complete their visit during an agreed period with the host school between 1st November 2023 and 31st August 2024 inclusive.
